Limit the scope of harm by identifying a threat and respond as early as possible.

This can be accomplished using surveillance cameras running video analytics or audible sensors. Proactive threat detection with technology that works together is a key element of physical security.

Essentials:

Utilize early threat detection, including panic buttons, AI gun detection, and sensors that can automate communications with first responders, staff, and the safety team
Ensure communications and technology work together and can be automated once a threat is detected
Establish a clear chain of command with defined leadership, unified command
